The Phoenix Coyotes announced today that the team is partnering with Fry’s Food Stores and ABC15 on the “100-Ton Food Drive”. The statewide food drive hopes to raise 100 tons of non-perishable food during the month of February in honor of Arizona’s Centennial. All food donations will go to agencies like the United Food Bank and St. Mary’s Food Bank.
“We are proud to partner with Fry’s Food Stores and ABC15 on the 100-Ton Food Drive,” said Coyotes President and COO Mike Nealy. “We hope our fans will support this great initiative to help those less fortunate in our state.”
Fans interested in donating to the 100-Ton Food Drive can drop off a can of non-perishable food at the collection bins located outside of gate four (4) at Jobing.com Arena at Coyotes games on Tuesday, February 21 (L.A. Kings) and Tuesday, February 28 (Vancouver Canucks). St. Mary’s Food Bank will be staffing the collection bins on both those dates.
“Fry’s invites the community to join us in this ambitious drive,” says Fry’s Food Stores President Jon Flora. “Our customers and Coyotes fans can make a difference by donating nonperishable foods at the upcoming games or cash at any Fry’s cash register. We need to address this issue now because one in four Arizona children are going to bed hungry each night.”
Fans that donate food items at the game will receive a voucher that can be redeemed for $10.00 off any price level ticket for the Coyotes game versus Los Angeles on February 21. There is a limit of one voucher per person and the voucher is only good for the Coyotes game that night.
