St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance will be at the 52nd Street Armory in Phoenix (1335 N. 52nd Street, Bldg M5701) this Sunday, Nov. 6, to distribute some of the more than 2,200 holiday food boxes earmarked for needy families of Arizona’s wounded, deployed and active soldiers to make sure our nation’s heroes will have all the trimmings for a traditional holiday meal – as well as extra food to fill their pantries.

The “Turkeys For Troops” program will include turkeys gift cards donated by the University of Phoenix, Arizona Heroes to Hometowns and other organizations. Each family arriving at the 52nd Street Armory will also receive a St. Mary’s Holiday Food Box filled with canned pantry items, produce, breads, pastries and all the trimmings necessary for a traditional holiday meal.

On behalf of those who make it possible with their donations, it is our honor for St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance to salute these Arizona heroes and their families and make sure they have a full holiday meal to share with their loved ones,” St. Mary’s Food Bank President and CEO Terry Shannon said. “To all our fighting men and women both here and around the world, our best wishes for a Happy Thanksgiving.”
